Impact of COVID-19 on the redistribution process
A redistribution of electoral district boundaries can only be undertaken after a public consultation process set out in the Electoral Act 2017. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Electoral Districts Redistribution Panel believes it is not practicable to commence public consultation at this time. The Redistribution Panel anticipates officially commencing the consultation process on Monday, 1 June 2020.
In the meantime, any person wishing to participate in the redistribution process is encouraged to read about the process and view the electoral district maps and enrolment data.
