Lachlan Shire (D Ward) by-election

An election will be held for Lachlan Shire (D Ward) on Saturday, 20 May 2023 to fill one councillor position.
 
If you are enrolled as a resident of D Ward in Lachlan Shire as at 6pm Tuesday, 11 April 2023 you must vote. If you are enrolled in A, B, C or E Ward, you cannot vote at this by-election.

Enrol to vote

Residents of Lachlan Shire (D Ward)

You must enrol to vote if you are an Australian citizen who is 18 years old or older and have lived in D Ward for at least one month. To update your enrolment details online, or to obtain an enrolment form, visit the Australian Electoral Commission or call 13 23 26. Enrolment forms must be received by 6pm Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
 
Voting is compulsory for all residents enrolled in D Ward.

Owners, occupiers and ratepaying lessees of rateable land in Lachlan Shire (D Ward)

If you are an owner, rate-paying lessee, or occupier of rateable land in D Ward which is not your residence within D Ward, you or a nominee may be entitled to be enrolled on the roll of non-resident owners of rateable land or the roll of occupiers and rate-paying lessees for this election.
 
Details of the eligibility criteria and enrolment claim forms may be obtained from Lachlan Shire Council by emailing council@lachlan.nsw.gov.au
 
The claim for enrolment must be completed and lodged with Lachlan Shire Council by 6pm Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
 
If you were previously included on a non-residential roll, it is recommended that you confirm with Lachlan Shire Council that your details are correct.
