Annual disclosures for 2017/18 financial year now available

Disclosures of political donations made and/or received and electoral expenditure incurred for the 2017/18 financial year are now available on the NSW Electoral Commission website.

The NSW Electoral Commission receives disclosures from political parties, candidates, members of Parliament, local councillors, major political donors and others. The 2017/18 disclosure period includes the 2017 local government elections.

Disclosures were due to be lodged by 22 September 2018 (or 20 October for major political donors).

Disclosures for 2017/18 are lodged under the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981. This Act was repealed on 1 July 2018 with the commencement of the Electoral Funding Act 2018.

Pre-election disclosures published online

Under the Electoral Funding Act 2018 political donations of $1,000 or more made and received in the lead up to the 2019 State election must be disclosed to the NSW Electoral Commission within 21 days.
