Electoral expenditure

Electoral expenditure is expenditure to promote or oppose a political party or candidate or influence the vote at an election. It must be incurred in accordance with NSW electoral funding laws.

Electoral expenditure must be disclosed to the NSW Electoral Commission each year after 30 June. Find out how and when to disclose your electoral expenditure.

You may need to be registered before you make payments for electoral expenditure and you may need to use a campaign account.

There are caps on the amount of electoral expenditure you can incur for a state or local government election.
