Half-yearly donation disclosures published online

Disclosures of political donations made and received during the six month period ending December 2018 are now available on the NSW Electoral Commission website

The NSW Electoral Commission receives half-yearly donation disclosures from political parties, groups, candidates, members of Parliament, local councillors, associated entities and third-party campaigners.

Half-yearly disclosures are lodged under the Electoral Funding Act 2018.

Major political donors, donors who have donated $1,000 or more, do not make disclosures at this time but instead disclose reportable political donations after the end of the financial year.

The first half-yearly disclosure period for the 2018-19 financial year is 1 July to 31 December 2018.

Disclosures were due to be lodged by 29 January 2019.

This half-yearly disclosure period coincides with the pre-election disclosure period for the 2019 NSW State election.

Donations of $1,000 or more, made and received for the 2019 NSW State election, must be reported in the pre-election disclosure period within 21 days and are not included in the half-yearly disclosures.

The half-yearly and pre-election period donation disclosures are published together and can be searched, viewed and downloaded on the NSW Electoral Commission website.
