Ballot paper draw: 2023 NSW State election

Candidate nominations for the election close at 12 noon today.

Following the ballot paper draws for each district tomorrow, candidate details will be published in the order they will appear on the ballot paper on the NSW Electoral Commission website.

Ballot paper draws for the Legislative Assembly will be held at the Election Manager’s office in each district and are open to the media and the public, including candidates. Election Manager office addresses are available on the NSW Electoral Commission’s website. 

The ballot paper draw for the Legislative Council is also open to the media and public, including candidates, and will be streamed live.

If you are attending the Legislative Council ballot paper draw in person, please arrive by 9.30am to clear security processes before the draw commences.  

Please note room capacity limits will apply. 

What: 2023 NSW State election Legislation Council ballot paper draw 

When: 10am, Thursday, 9 March

Where: Level 23, 175 Liverpool Street, Sydney or online.
