Redistribution and the 2023 NSW State election

The 2023 New South Wales State election will be held on Saturday, March 25. Voting is compulsory.

Did you know that some of the electoral districts in New South Wales have changed?

Electoral district boundaries changed to maintain an approximately equal number of voters across districts as the population changes and people move into and out of New South Wales.

This could mean that the district you are enrolled to vote in has changed, even if your address has not.

Some electoral districts have: changed name; changed boundaries; been removed and split into other districts; or been newly created.

Before you get ready to vote,you can find out if your district has changed by using the "Find my electorate" tool on our website at elections.nsw.gov.au. Enter your enrolled address and click "Find". Your state district will display on screen. Then click through to read information about your enrolled electoral district.

Remember that if you move address or change your name, it is still your responsibility to keep your enrolment up to date.
