An agent is a person who is responsible for election campaign finances of a party, third-party campaigner or associated entity.

A party agent is responsible for the management of electoral funding for the party and in some cases for candidates and elected members.

A party agent is responsible for disclosing a party’s political donations and electoral expenditure.

An official agent is responsible for the management and disclosure of a third-party campaigner or associated entity’s political donations and electoral expenditure.

Each party, associated entity and third-party campaigner must appoint a person as agent.
