Lobbying of Government Officials Act
The Lobbying of Government Officials Act 2011:
- ensures lobbyists comply with ethical standards of conduct in the Lobbyists Code of Conduct;
- establishes the Register of Lobbyists;
- allows the Electoral Commission to enforce compliance with the Lobbyists Code and the Lobbying of Government Officials Act (including the investigation of alleged breaches);
- bans success fees for lobbying; and
- restricts lobbying by former Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.
