Boundary Description

Commencing at the junction the mean low water mark of the shore of South Pacific Ocean and the generally southern boundary of the City of Newcastle, gazetted 3rd November 1978: and bounded thence by part of that boundary generally north-westerly to the generally western boundary of Lot 5, DP 1016931; by that boundary and its prolongation, generally northerly to the Pacific Highway; by that highway, generally south-westerly, Brunker Road, generally northerly, Glebe Road, westerly, St James Road, generally north-westerly, Royal Road, northerly, Russell Road, westerly, Royal Place, northerly, Lambton Road (New Lambton) and Howe Street, generally north-westerly, Morehead Street, northerly, Newcastle Road and Griffiths Road, generally easterly, Lambton Road (Waratah), north-easterly, Edith Street, northerly, Lorna Street, northwesterly and Maud Street, north-easterly to the Main Northern Railway; by that railway, south-easterly to the south-western prolongation of Hanbury Street; by that street, north-easterly, Vine Street, northerly, Industrial Drive, generally north-westerly and Tourle Street, northerly, to the mean low water mark of the left bank of South Channel of Hunter River; by that mean low water mark, downwards and the mean low water mark of the right bank of North Channel of Hunter River upwards to Stockton Bridge; by that bridge easterly to the mean low water mark of the left bank of the North Channel of Hunter River; by that mean low water mark, upwards to the generally northern boundary of the City of Newcastle; by that boundary, easterly to the mean low water mark of the shore of the South Pacific Ocean, aforesaid and by that mean low water mark (except at the entrance of any river, creek or inlet of the sea where the boundary shall be a straight line connecting two points on the shore opposite the outermost headlands at the entrance of any such river, creek or inlet of the sea) generally south-westerly to the point of commencement (inclusive of all islands lying off the coast of the district above defined).
