Boundary Description
Commencing at the junction of the boundary between the State of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory with the generally northern boundary of Yarrowlumla Shire: and bounded thence by the former boundary generally south-easterly, generally south-westerly and generally north-westerly to the generally south-western boundary of Yarrowlumla Shire; by that boundary generally north-westerly and part of the generally eastern boundaries of Tumut and Tumbarumba Shires generally south-easterly to the boundary between the States of New South Wales and Victoria; by that boundary south-westerly to the low water mark of the shore of South Pacific Ocean; by that low water mark (except at the entrance of any river, creek or inlet of the sea where the boundary shall be a straight line connecting two points on the shore opposite the outermost headlands at the entrance of any such river, creek or inlet of the sea) generally northerly to Pambula River; by that river upwards to Chalk Hills Fire Road; by that road generally westerly, Myrtle Mountain Road generally northerly, Myrtle Road generally westerly and Chalk Hills Fire Trail generally north-westerly to the generally northern boundary of Tantawangalo State Forest; by part of that boundary generally north-westerly to Tantawangalo Creek (near its confluence with Blue Gate Creek); by that creek upwards to Postmans Track; by that track generally north-easterly, Filmer Williams Road and Mogilla Road generally easterly, Niagara Lane generally north-easterly, West End Kameruka Road generally north-westerly, Snowy Mountains Highway easterly and Ryan D'Arcy Road and Bemboka Peak Trail generally northerly to a generally south-western boundary of South East Forest National Park; by part of that boundary generally north-westerly to the north-western corner of Portion 118, Parish of Ooranook, County of Auckland; by the northern prolongation of the western boundary of that portion northerly to Yankees Gap Road; by that road generally westerly to the generally southern boundary of Wadbilliga National Park; by part of that boundary generally westerly and the south-western boundary of that park generally north-westerly to the generally eastern boundary of Cooma-Monaro Shire; by part of that boundary generally northerly, the generally south-eastern and generally north-eastern boundaries of Tallaganda Shire generally north-easterly and generally north-westerly, part of the generally eastern and the generally southern boundaries of Mulwaree Shire generally southerly and generally westerly and part of the generally northern boundary of Yarrowlumla Shire, aforesaid, generally westerly to the point of commencement (inclusive of all islands lying off the coast of the district above defined).
