Boundary Description
Commencing at the intersection of a canal from Hexham Swamp to Purgatory Creek and Main Northern Railway: and bounded thence by that canal and Purgatory Creek downwards to the right bank of Hunter River; by a line north-easterly to the left bank of Hunter River; by that bank and Williams River upwards to the generally southern boundary of Dungog Shire; by part of that boundary generally north-easterly and generally south-westerly, part of the generally eastern boundary of that shire northerly, the generally south-western boundary of Great Lakes Council generally north-westerly, part of the generally southern boundary of Gloucester Shire generally westerly and part of the generally western boundary of Dungog Shire generally south-westerly to a point north-west of the source of Foy Brook; by a line south-easterly to that source; by Foy Brook downwards to the generally southern boundary of Mount Royal State Forest; by part of that boundary easterly and part of the generally south-western and the generally southern boundary of Mount Royal National Park generally southerly and generally easterly to the generally south-western boundary of Dungog Shire; by that boundary generally south-easterly, the generally western and generally southern boundaries of the City of Maitland generally southerly and generally easterly to Anderson Drive; by that drive generally south-easterly and New England Highway north-easterly to Main Northern Railway, aforesaid, and by that railway south-easterly to the point of commencement.
