Enrolment objections
Under the Local Government Act 1993 No 30 a person may lodge an objection to inclusion in the roll of:
- their name
- specified particulars entered against their name
- the name of another person
- specified particulars entered against the name of another person.
Protection of privacy
Under the Local Government Act 1993 No 30 a person may apply for the omission of any material that would disclose their residential address if they consider that such disclosure would place them or their family at risk.
Lodgement of objections
Objections regarding all residential rolls and the City of Sydney non-residential rolls are to be lodged with NSWEC.
Objections to all council non-residential rolls are to be lodged with the relevant council general manager.
Under the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 the signature of a person who lodges an ‘Objection to Enrolment’ form must be witnessed by a justice of the peace.
